9 Greater Cincinnati restaurants earn 2018 Wine Spectator awards

The awards, which began in 1981, are broken down into three levels. The three Ruby restaurants received Best of Award of Excellence awards, the middle tier. The other six earned Award of Excellence honors, the lowest designation. The highest tier, the Grand Award, was given to just 91 total winners worldwide. Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment Expands Corporate Footprint Downtown

Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment is in the midst of expanding and remodeling its downtown corporate office as it adds to its executive team and prepares to open its third new restaurant in three years. The company's office at 700 Walnut St. downtown is expanding into the rest of the second floor in the building above Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse Cincinnati. Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment (JRCE) president Britney Ruby Miller told me the expansion will bring the office to a total of 7,000 square feet. JEFF RUBY FOUNDATION RAISES OVER $581,000 FOR CINCINNATI KIDS

Cincinnati restaurateur Jeff Ruby used his 70th birthday party to do some good. Ruby's 70th Birthday Gala was held at Jack Cincinnati Casino on Sunday night and served as the first major fundraiser for the Jeff Ruby Foundation. The star-studded event included performances by Kool & the Gang, Lee Greenwood and Ruby himself. To see who else was in attendance, click through the images above. Ruby exceeded his $500,000 goal for the sold-out fundraiser to benefit his foundation, which is focused on reducing childhood poverty in Greater Cincinnati.
